Paste an image, download it
Copying an image is easy. Getting that image out of the clipboard and onto your disk is the annoying part — right-click Save As is missing, the image is behind a canvas, or it came from a chat app that has no download button. Paste it here and it becomes a real file.

Steps
- 01Copy the image — right-click and Copy Image, or select it and press ⌘C.
- 02Come back to this page and press ⌘V (Ctrl+V on Windows).
- 03Check the preview, rename the file if you want, and press Download.
Good to know
The format is kept as-is
Whatever your clipboard carried is what you get. Copy a PNG and you download a PNG — the pixels are never re-encoded, so nothing is lost to a second round of compression.
Images copied from apps work too
Slack, Figma, Photoshop, Preview, Excel charts, and screenshot tools all put real image data on the clipboard. So do most web pages.
Questions
What image formats can I download?
PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP, AVIF, BMP, SVG and anything else your clipboard hands over. The extension is filled in automatically and you can change it.
Does pasting reduce the image quality?
No. The bytes on the clipboard are written straight to the file with no re-encoding.
